Mustang Valley Sanctuary: Saving Mustangs & Supporting Veterans

Mission: Mustang Valley Sanctuary provides a haven for rescued mustangs and other equines in need. We focus on rescuing branded, unhandled mustangs facing slaughter, offering them a safe space to heal and rehabilitate. Additionally, we facilitate the Mustang Assisted Learning (MAL) program, pairing mustangs with veterans to aid in their recovery from PTSD.

Vision: We envision a future where America's iconic mustang population thrives, and where vulnerable members of our community, including veterans and survivors of abuse, find solace and support through the human-animal bond.

Our Work:

• Mustang Rescue & Rehabilitation: We rescue at-risk mustangs from kill pens, providing them with veterinary care, gentle training, and a nurturing environment. We prioritize rehoming suitable mustangs with loving adopters.
• Mustang Assisted Learning (MAL): This unique program pairs rescued mustangs with veterans struggling with PTSD. Working together, veterans care for the mustangs, fostering trust and connection, which aids in their healing journey.
• Equine Sanctuary: We offer a permanent sanctuary for mustangs unsuitable for domestication due to past trauma. They live out their lives in peace and comfort alongside other rescued equines.
