Healing Heroes Through Horsemanship

Healing Heroes Through Horsemanship, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based on California’s Central Coast. We specialize in the retraining and rehoming of Thoroughbreds and other horses in transition. While we do not currently accept horses directly from the public, we partner with other equine 'rescues' — especially those focused on OTTB rehabilitation — to provide individualized training that enhances adoptability. Our programs also support Veterans through vocational horsemanship education, blending equine welfare with hands-on skill-building for at-risk individuals. Each horse receives personalized care and training to prepare them for a successful second career and a right-match adoption.
